Cairnhill Woods 10-year Management Plan
This consultation is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in the survey. We are now collating and analysing your responses.
A management plan for Cairnhill Woods in Westerton, Bearsden is being created in order for the Council to effectively manage the site for both open space activities such as
walking and enjoying the natural environment, and also to manage this biodiversity rich area for wildlife.
The management plan will assist the Council in the effective biodiversity friendly management of this site and also the public enjoyment of this site.
The Council has commissioned Heritage Ecological Ltd. (HEL) to prepare a 10-year Management Plan for Cairnhill Woods, and we are seeking the views of residents on your aspirations for future management to enhance the biodiversity value, recreational use and educational use.
A drop-in event will be held in Westerton Library on Monday 18 March 2024 from 3-9pm where people can talk to the consultants regarding the content of the management plan.
If you are unable to make the event then you can still help by completing the short survey below. The consultation is open from Wednesday 13 March until Monday 1 April 2024.
This project has been funded by the Scottish Government Nature Restoration Fund.
