    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to alert Members to an ongoing incident in Merkland

  • A double-decker bus is on fire at Merkland, adjacent to the Merkland Shopping Centre.  Properties in the vicinity of the bus are Council-owned properties and have been affected by the fire

  • Officers from relevant services are attending to support residents and assess the level of damage

  • At present, the focus is on responding to the ongoing incident.  Further information will be provided once more is known.
