  • The Principal Contractor, JCJ Demolition, will commence internal downtakings from week commencing 13 April 2026. These internal works will take approximately four weeks with demolition of the building due to take place thereafter which will last approximately one week. There will be a period for removal of foundations, site clearance and testing with works due to complete around 26 June 2026. Works will be undertaken with a demolition excavator and with dust suppression measures used where required

  • Local residents will be notified of these works by a newsletter issued by mail drop prior to works commencing

  • Demolition is progressing to allow development of the site by East Dunbartonshire Council to provide 32 affordable flats and townhouses. Details of the proposals can be viewed on the Council’s online planning portal using the reference - TP/ED/24/0572

  • A Stage 2 report on those proposals, seeking approval for the tendered construction cost of the new homes and providing confirmation of the construction timetable, will be submitted to Council later this year.
