- To instruct the Chief Executive of the Council to write to Scotland’s First Minister, the Community Safety Minister, the SFRS , Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service, the local MP, local MSP and any other relevant Stakeholders inviting them to meet with all Group Leaders and Independent Councillors to discuss undertaking an urgent feasibility study into developing a “Neighbourhood Emergency Centre” for the area on the existing site of the Milngavie Fire and Rescue Station. The “Neighbourhood Emergency Centre” could incorporate Emergency Services Personnel and equipment for the SFRS, the Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland and a First Responders Unit.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service’s Regional Director/West Region, Mr David Robertson, has been in touch to advise that he would be delighted to discuss the matters further. He confirmed that Scottish Ambulance Service has excellent links with SFRS and he regularly liaises with his SFRS counterpart with several sites in the West already co-located.
