    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Member. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to inform Members of communication from Police Scotland being sent to all schools
  • Community Police officers are developing a proactive approach via a maildrop to parents/carers to inform them of activities being carried out, in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council, to keep young people safe and support our communities
  • During the holidays, Community Policing Teams and School Liaison Officers will be conducting targeted patrols in areas where anti social behaviour has previously been reported. This activity will be supported by the Council’s Community Wardens
  • These patrols are undertaken only for legitimate policing purposes, and officers will engage with young people solely in response to specific complaints or behaviour observed by officers, and not through random stops
