Technical Notes 2026, Issue 45 - Extended Weekend Lets
Details
- The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide an update to Elected Members to extend weekend lets to include Sunday availability in specific schools and community centres
- In order to facilitate the extended weekend let proposal, a recruitment exercise was undertaken by Estates & Facilities for Casual – Facility Officers. This will enable lets to be confirmed without the use of overtime, while increasing income through lets of pitches and space within community centres
- A total of eight Casual – Facility Officers have now been recruited, and they are currently going through their induction and onsite training over the next few weeks. Extended weekend lets will be available will be from the weekend of 18 and 19 April 2026
- The following lets are currently available through the letting team, however these let’s will be covered by the Casual – Facility Officers from 18 April:

- In addition to the lets noted above, the following school locations will now provide football lets on Sundays between 9am and 4pm, with the exception of Auchinairn Community and Early Years Centre, which will have availability on a Sunday from 10am – 6pm:
