    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared out with the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Elected Members of forthcoming engagement and consultation on the Council’s future aspiration to replace the four CLASP Schools within the estate (Baljaffray Primary School, Harestanes Primary School, Meadowburn Primary School, St Helen’s Primary School)
  • In March 2026, Council instructed officers to engage with Elected Members, each school community and wider communities regarding future development of the above schools
  • Officers intend to hold briefing sessions for Elected Members on the following dates and times, to share the information which will be presented to the school community and drop-in sessions for the general public:

Harestanes PS

    • Elected Member briefing: Monday 5 October at 10am on MS Teams
    • Community Consultation event: Wednesday 7 October 6-8pm in Harestanes Primary School

Meadowburn PS

    • Elected Member briefing: Tuesday 27 October at 10am on MS Teams
    • Community Consultation event: Wednesday 28 October 6-8pm in Meadowburn Primary School

St Helen’s PS

    • Elected Member briefing: Tuesday 3 November at 10am on MS Teams
    • Community Consultation event: Wednesday 4 November 6-8pm in St Helen’s Primary School

Baljaffray PS

    • Elected Member briefing: Tuesday 10 November at 10am on MS Teams
    • Community Consultation event: Wednesday 11 November 6-8pm in Baljaffray Primary School
  • The event will be publicised via the Council’s social media channels, on-site signage, by invitation to relevant Community Councils and a dedicated Council Webpage which will be live from w/c Monday 21 September.   • Engagement sessions with school pupils, staff, and Parent Councils will take place at each school on the following dates: 

Harestanes PS: Tuesday 6 October
Meadowburn PS: Tuesday 27 October
St Helen’s PS: Tuesday 3 November
Baljaffray PS: Tuesday 10 November
