Details:

The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Elected Members of a further temporary closure of Cole Road, Bishopbriggs between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm on Friday 4th September 2026. 

This closure is required for the above timeframe on Friday only, with the road open to traffic at all other times. The road closure will facilitate the final removal of vegetation in the vicinity of Torrance Roundabout ahead of construction work commencing on the Westerhill Development Road.

Alternative routes will be available via the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and the B819 Crosshill Road. This will be signposted.  

Construction of the WDR is currently programmed to complete in October 2027.
