    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Member. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Elected Members of the launch of Round 1 of the new Local Community Grant Fund on 24 August 2026.  This round will open on the 24 August, and close on 21 September 2026.  Full details will be provided on the website and on social media
  • Following the success of the previous two local Funder Fair events, Community Planning are delighted to be hosting their third Funder Fair on Thursday, 10 September, from 4pm to 7pm at New College Lanarkshire, Kirkintilloch Campus, 50 Southbank Road, Kirkintilloch, G66 1NH
  • The event will bring together a wide range of funding organisations, including East Dunbartonshire Council Community Fund, Creative Scotland, DTAS, EDVA, The National Lottery, Sport Scotland, and many others. Representatives will be available throughout the event to provide information on their funding programmes, offer guidance on eligibility, application processes, and answer any questions
  • An Eventbrite booking link is attached below for registration. The Funder Fair will be capped due to available space, and organisations are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to engage directly with a range of funding providers.  The event will be promoted through the CLD (Community Learning and Development) Partnership social media platforms, including an East Dunbartonshire Council press release

  • The Fair will also offer supportive opportunities for community organisations to learn more about our new Local Community Grant Fund and the support available.  Information will be shared across a range of networks, including sign-posting organisations who were not successful in the previous administered council grant scheme
  • The marketing style layout will support networking opportunities, increase visibility of local projects and organisations, whilst enabling exploration of funding opportunities and learning about the process directly from funders
  • The CLD Strategic Partnership are overseeing an Empowering Communities – Building Stronger programme of capacity building
  • The planned East Dunbartonshire Funder Fair and Empowering Communities- Building Stronger capacity building programme will be instrumental in strengthening local organisation’s capacity to secure funding and support thriving communities.
