Details

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Elected Members on plans for a public engagement event ahead of the start of construction of new affordable housing at Merkland and Cleddans sites in Kirkintilloch
  • A drop-in event has been arranged to give the public an opportunity to meet the contractor and Council officers to discuss any aspects of the construction works with the teams who will be delivering on site.  The event will take place on Wednesday 12 August between 4-7pm at Hillhead Community Centre, Meiklehill Road, Kirkintilloch
  • Both projects are being undertaken by McTaggart Construction on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council
  • The contractor will begin mobilising on each site in September 2026 ahead of construction commencing in October 2026.
