Important announcement

Due to operational issues we have had to suspend our food waste collection service for a number of streets in Milngavie and Bishopbriggs today.

If your food waste bin is not collected today, please take in your bin and present on the next collection day, Friday 14 November.

Brown and blue collections in a small number of streets in the Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch area are also affected. If your brown and blue bins has not been emptied today, please leave it on the kerbside for collection and it will be collected by the service at the earliest opportunity.

Our teams will be working hard to minimise the impact, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    Employment Board Meetings 18 March & 29 April

    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to the arrangements for the newly constituted Employment Board.
  • Members will be aware that the Employment Board was recently appointed and is scheduled to meet on dates previously scheduled for the former HR Appeals Board.
  • The next meeting of the Employment Board is due to take place at 10am on 18 March 2025. This meeting will take place as scheduled and all members of the new Employment Board should have received invites to attend.
  • The next scheduled meeting is at 10am on 29 April. This too will proceed as scheduled; however, a second session will be added at 1.30pm in order to progress outstanding appeals. Again, Members of the Employment Board should have received an invite for the 10am session. A further invitation covering the afternoon session will be issued shortly.
