    • The purpose of this technical note is to advise Elected Members of temporary changes to the delivery arrangements at Balmuildy Primary School, Bishopbriggs. The usual operation of the site allows for a pause in all deliveries during peak school drop-off and pick-up times.
    • The construction of the ground floor slab is due to commence on Friday, 21 November and due to the type of concrete being used, requires the continual delivery of material to the site throughout the duration of the school day with no pauses.
    • In order to enable this to happen safely and to minimise disruption to the operation of the school, parking restrictions will be in place on Stirling Drive, Bishopbriggs on Friday, 21 November which will provide safe and unrestricted access for all site vehicles to and from the site; and an additional school crossing patroller will be on duty on the afternoon of Friday, 21 November.
    • All arrangements have been discussed and agreed with the Head Teacher and will be communicated in advance to parents. Advance notice of the Stirling Drive parking restrictions will be communicated via a local newsletter drop, Balmuildy Primary School’s website/forum, on-site signage, the Council webpage and the Council’s social media channels.
    • There will be a further 4 occasions beyond the 21 November where these alternative delivery arrangements / parking restrictions will be implemented and these will be communicated in advance using the approach described above. Specific dates for these are still to be agreed. All dates are weather dependent.
