The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Elected Members of the role of the local partnership, East Dunbartonshire Violence Against Women and Girls, in supporting the international campaign 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence for 2025, which runs from 25 November to 10 December 2025
The 16 Days Campaign is a global opportunity to fight gender-based violence, promoting:
the safety of women and girls
highlighting the nature and prevalence of gender-based violence
raising awareness of the issue as a human rights concern
strengthening efforts to combat gender-based violence
East Dunbartonshire Violence Against Women Partnership and its member organisation support the campaign and have organised various activities. These include a range of local events across East Dunbartonshire, bringing together residents, communities, partners, and services, to raise awareness and take positive action.
