  • Publication:

This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared out with the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Members of a proposed extension to the closing date for offers for Lenzie Public Hall.
  • At the Council meeting on 6 March 2025, Members approved the remarketing of Lenzie Public Hall in its current condition for sale or lease on the basis that any offer must evidence as to how the community would benefit from the use of the Hall.  Community Asset Transfer would also be considered should a Stage 2 Application be submitted at the closing date.
  • Marketing of the Hall commenced in June 2025 with an initial closing date for offers set as Friday 26 September 2025. To date, one open viewing has taken place which representatives from local community groups attended.
  • Following that initial viewing, interested parties have intimated that additional time to have further engagement and to prepare an offer or submit a Community Asset Transfer request would be beneficial.
  • Officers are encouraged by the engagement of local groups and propose to extend to the closing date for offers to 12 noon, Friday 21 November 2025.  Particulars will be updated online and officers will formally advise all parties who have expressed an interest to date of the extension to the closing date.
