This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to inform Members of the temporary relocation of the external defibrillator at Torrance Community Centre as a result of the refurbishment works to the Centre

  • The defibrillator was installed on the external wall of the Torrance Community Centre, however access to the hall and grounds is now compromised given the site is now under the management of the contractor.  As a result, the defibrillator has been removed as of 24th July 2025 and taken off the national Circuit

  • The defibrillator has been relocated to the west side of the stone perimeter wall ensuring the emergency services and the general public have access if required.  Please see photograph below for exact location

  • The defibrillator will continue to be checked weekly.  Further consideration will be given to the temporary location at the end of September as a result of the outside temperatures potentially dropping below zero

  • The defibrillator will be reactivated on the national Circuit at the earliest opportunity.
