    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to ongoing cyber incident at Glasgow City Council.

  • Members will be aware of an ongoing cyber incident involving Glasgow City Council (GCC) which is disrupting a number of its online services.  Whilst the Council has not been directly impacted by today’s incident, the Council does use GCC’s Parking Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) payment portal which has been affected in the ongoing cyber incident

    In light of the above, officers are contacting GCC seeking information to better understand the situation and any possible impact on PCNs issued within East Dunbartonshire

  •  

    Whilst the cyber-attack has focused on digital services including online forms, Council staff have been advised to exercise caution in relation to any contact claiming to be from GCC and Members are encouraged to do likewise
