The Victorian walled garden at Mugdock Country Park, a firm favourite with visitors, has recently had some restoration work done and Depute Provost McDiarmid was invited along to unveil it.

She said, “The walled garden, dating back to 1816, is steeped in history, brimming with character and looking spectacular with its new fencing and planting. It is a welcoming space and a wonderful addition to what is already a jewel of a park right on our doorsteps.

“I was delighted to be asked along to see it and would encourage others to add it to the ‘to do’ list for Summer 2026.”
