Depute Provost Colette McDiarmid enjoyed ‘Roman’ around Milngavie, where she joined volunteers from Milngavie in Bloom and children from Craigdhu Primary School at the unveiling of a Roman Centurion figure in Antonine Gardens, Milngavie.

Dep Provost McDiarmid, said, “The addition of the Roman Centurion in Antonine Gardens is a fitting reminder of East Dunbartonshire’s rich history, which dates to the Romans, the Antonine Wall and beyond. The centurion now stands guard in the beautiful Antonine Gardens, tended by the inspirational volunteers from Milngavie in Bloom.”
