Provost Renwick was on the ball when she met members of the East Dunbartonshire Netball Club (EDNC) this weekend to help them celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Over the last decade the club has grown significantly and with more than 200 members it is now a thriving hub for sport, teamwork, and community engagement. It offers netballing opportunities for local people of all ages to play for fun or competitively.

Provost Renwick said, “My best wishes to everyone at EDNC on their 10th anniversary. Their enthusiasm for the sport is tangible and they are doing a fantastic job to open it up to local girls and women. I wish them continued success over the next ten years and beyond.”
Kirsteen Sawers one of the founders and coach added, "This anniversary is a testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters. We’ve built more than just a club—we’ve built a netball family. The Commonwealth Games in 2014 were our catalyst to get started and with the next edition of the Games happening next year we’re excited to continue growing and inspiring the next generation of athletes in our community."
To mark their anniversary the Club held a special tournament and a family fun day.
