Dodging downpours was added to the list of events and activities at this year’s Bearsden & Milngavie Highland Games but that didn’t stop Provost Renwick and the huge crowds from having a blast.

The popular annual event was back in all its glory in Milngavie today with visitors being treated to show-stoppers like haggis hurling, fabulous flings, hair-raising rides and more than one tenacious tug-of-war.

Provost Renwick grabbed a pic with Chieftan Des Clarke and said, “As always this is a spectacular event with so much going on throughout the day. The weather hasn’t put us off, not much could! Well done to the organisers once again for delivering a brilliant Games and a very special day for local people and visitors alike.”
