The festive season officially got underway in Bishopbriggs Town Centre as the Christmas lights were switched on in front of delighted crowds.

Run by Bishopbriggs Community Council, the special event featured stalls, entertainment, refreshments, a Santa’s grotto and lots of festive cheer. Provost Renwick said,

“Each year Bishopbriggs Community Council do a fantastic job organising these wonderful lights which will illuminate the town centre over the next few weeks.

Everyone has their own Christmas traditions, but one thing we all do in some way is spend time with others over the festive period. Whether that’s enjoying time with family, friends, colleagues, or our local community – so it’s really lovely to see so many of you here.”
