The MAPPA Annual Report for the North Strathclyde Community Justice Authority (NSCJA) area highlights the nature and extent of the work undertaken by responsible authorities - Local Authorities, Police, Scottish Prison Service and Health - in relation to the management of Registered Sex Offenders and Restricted Patients in the community.
The positive achievements supported via MAPPA demonstrate the continued, committed hard work by individuals within these agencies and others across the area.
Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) were introduced in 2007 following implementation of the Management of Offenders (Scotland) Act 2005 Sections 10 and 11.
The Act places statutory obligations on responsible authorities to co-operate in respect of Registered Sex Offenders and Restricted Patients.
The report is available on the NSCJA website.
