The Sandyford Sexual Health Improvement Team operates across Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Its aim is to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of the population by reducing inequalities, and by contributing to a culture that is positive about human sexuality.
The team focuses on the prevention of new HIV infections as well as addressing the sexual health and relationships of young people, including measures to reduce teenage conceptions. Programmes include (amongst others):
- Free condom service http://www.freecondomsglasgowandclyde.org;
- Supporting relationship, sexual health and parenthood education in schools;
- Supporting people with learning difficulties to experience positive relationships.
