(MENTEITH AVENUE AND SPRINGFIELD ROAD, BISHOPBRIGGS)

PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES

East Dunbartonshire Council in terms of Section 37(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, hereby give notice of its intention to install one flat top speed table on Springfield Road at the existing pedestrian crossing facility and ten round top road humps on Menteith Avenue and Springfield Road, between a point west of its junction with Woodhill Road and a point east of its junction with Muir Street. The flat top speed table will be constructed flush with existing road kerbs and ramped on both approaches.  The road humps are to be constructed to a height of between 75 mm and 100 mm, a length of between 3 metres and 4 metres and a width of between 4 metres and 6 metres, and a 750 mm bypass for pedal cycles will be provided on each side of the road humps.
