Whitefield Pond and Balgrochan Marsh, Lennoxtown Survey

Whitefield Pond LennoxtownA management plan for both Whitefield Pond and the nearby Balgrochan Marsh is being created in order for the Council to effectively manage both sites for both open space activities such as walking and enjoying the natural environment, and also to manage these biodiversity rich areas for wildlife.

The management plan will assist the Council in the effective biodiversity friendly management of these sites and the also the public enjoyment of these sites.

The Council has commissioned Heritage Ecological Ltd. (HEL) to prepare a 10-year Management Plan for Whitefield Pond & Balgrochan Marsh, and we are seeking the views of residents on your aspirations for future management to enhance the biodiversity value, recreational use and educational use.

A drop-in event will be held in Lennoxtown Hub on Wednesday 6 March 2024 from 3-8pm where people can talk to the consultants regarding the content of the management plan.

If you are unable to make the event then you can still help by completing the short survey below. The consultation is open from Wednesday 6 March until 12 March 2024.

This project has been funded by the Scottish Government Nature Restoration Fund.
