Further to Technical Note 019-24 issued on the 7th February, Officers can confirm that agreement has been reached with St Andrews Church, 29 Roman Road, Bearsden regarding the use of their toilet facilities whilst Bearsden Hub remains closed. The toilets will be accessible to the general public between the hours of 11am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 11am to 4pm on a Saturday. There will be no access on a Sunday. This agreement will commence on 4th March 2024.
The agreement will be monitored over the first month and the Church reserves the right to terminate the agreement at any point thereafter.
Whilst the Church will arrange for cleaning and stocking of consumables, Facilities Management staff will inspect the toilets once a day to ensure they are not subject to misuse or vandalism.
The Communications & Engagement team will provide an update on these interim arrangements on the Council Website and through social media channels. Officers will contact local Community Council’s direct to advise them accordingly. In addition, posters will be placed on the security fencing around the Hub advising customers of alternative service arrangements.
