Details: 

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members that Boundaries Scotland has announced arrangements for Local Inquiries into its provisional proposals for Scottish Parliament constituency boundaries.    

2. Following consideration of the representations received during the initial consultation conducted In May-June 2023, a Local Inquiry is to be held in respect of the Bearsden, Milngavie & Clydebank North constituency.

3. Anyone wishing to speak at the inquiry is invite to contact Boundaries Scotland to book a slot: -

4. Any changes to the Initial Proposals will be the subject of a further consultation lasting one month, and will take place during 2024

5. Further information concerning each Local Inquiry will be published two weeks before the Inquiry on the Boundaries Scotland website [opens in a new window]
