Details:
  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide an update on recent changes to the car parking arrangements at the Allander Leisure Centre.

  2. On Tuesday 19th September, a further phase of completed car parking was released for use by customers of the Allander, comprising in total of 118 spaces including general parking, Parent & Child and accessible parking bays.  Added to the 20 bays available on the West boundary of the car park now provides a total of 138 spaces.

  3. In-line with the agreed construction phase plan, this coincided with the handover back to the contractor of a total of 40 bays which had been made available for public use on a temporary basis during the current phase of the construction programme.  Final works will now be undertaken to this area of the car park including the installation of permanent lighting, resurfacing and relining of bays and pathways and reconfiguration of final bays to allow free flowing access.  Additional signage has been added to the car park directing customers to the newly available spaces and the overflow car park remains available for use.

  4. The final phase of car parking, including spaces to the East of the completed Sportsdrome and the spaces described in Section 3 will be released for use by customers on completion of the final phase of the construction programme, currently anticipated before end November 2023.
