Details:
- Recent stakeholder engagement sessions were held with the school and representatives from school communities for Bearsden and Milngavie Primary Schools in relation to the school refurbishment projects. At those events indicative programme dates for both projects were discussed, which included a provisional date of summer 2023 for both schools to decant to temporary facilities to support refurbishment of both schools.
- Those decant dates have subsequently been shared by at least one of those school communities on Facebook. The purpose of this Technical Note is to confirm to Members that the dates being circulated are incorrect. Work is ongoing at a project level to test programme assumptions and once that work is complete Elected Members will be advised of the programme for the delivery of both projects in advance of further stakeholder engagement, which will include a definitive timetable for the decant of both schools, which is likely to be later in 2023.
- It is important to clarify that the school communities have simply sought to report the information presented to them at the engagement sessions. Programme dates are still to be tested and therefore should not have been circulated at these sessions.
