Details:
- The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members on works to create a new grass pitch at the Luggie in Kirkintilloch.
- The project has been paused slightly as a result of wet weather, however with the ground now drying out the contractor has intimated their intention to re-mobilise over the next few weeks.
- The indicative programme indicates the remainder of drainage, soil preparation and turfing is now due for completion by the end of May. What will follow will be a period of mowing and fertilisation over the Summer period until the surface is ready for play, which is currently estimated to be around the end of September/early October. Progress will be monitored over the Summer period with a view to bringing forward this date if feasible to do so.
