This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.
Details:

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Councillors that the Scottish Government has updated the COVID-19 guidance for schools. As a result, the Council is now in a position to resume indoor letting in our school buildings, including access to changing rooms, after the Easter holidays from Tuesday 19 April.

2. The Letting Team is ensuring that the reintroduction of lets in schools is progressed in a fair and equitable way.  In the first instance, schools are being contacted to establish their letting needs for the final term of the 2021/22 session.

3. All clubs and organisations who normally apply for lets in schools were invited to apply for the 2021/22 letting period (August 2021-July 2022) in the usual way in May 2021. They were advised at that time that the Letting Team would confirm their allocation for the year as soon as indoor letting in schools was permitted.

4. Once the school requirements have been confirmed, the Letting Team will confirm the successful allocation to all other groups and organisations who have applied.

5. The letting process for the 2022/23 letting period (August 2022-July 2023) will be conducted in the usual way.
