Details:
- The purpose of this technical note is to provide Members with an update regarding the progress made towards achieving the Food for Life, Bronze Award.
- Facilities Management has actively engaged with the Soil Association to progress an application for the Food for Life, Bronze Award.
- This involved analysis of the Primary school lunch menu and product information against a set criteria, verification of all nutritional and allergen menu content and a review of all information against ten criteria points.
- The Soil Association has evaluated all evidence submitted and the Food for Life, Bronze Award has been awarded to all Primary schools.
- Corporate Communications and the Soil Association are engaging to promote this achievement and it is proposed a celebration event is held mid-December with the Soil Association presenting the award to the Council at a Primary school.
