Details:
- At its meeting on 3 November 2022, Council agreed to allocate £30,000 from its £2.1 million Cost of Living support package to provide a grant scheme for local organisations to provide Warm Spaces within our communities.
- Local organisations looking to participate in the Warm Space initiative can apply for up to £1,000 to support their delivery costs.
- A grant application form will launch on the Council website today, Friday 11 November, with guidelines on how to apply and what the grant can be used towards.
- Warm Spaces should be made available across the winter months until March 2023 and applications will be assessed on a rolling basis as they are received, with grants awarded as soon as authorised.
- The availability of Warm Spaces across the area will be monitored and measures taken to address any gaps in Warm Space provision that are identified.
