Details: 

An Introduction to the UNCRC (The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child) will be held via Teams on 25 October at 2pm.  This session is being delivered by the Improvement Service and will provide an introduction to the UNCRC and update Elected Members about what the legislation will mean for local authorities in Scotland.

Introduction to Children’s Rights for Elected Members

25 October – 2:00pm to 3:00pm via MS Teams

The webinar session will:

  • Provide context for Children’s Human Rights in Scotland
  • Introduce the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Explore the UNCRC Incorporation Bill and what that means for local councils in Scotland
  • Introduce resources that can support you in your role locally.

Guest Speakers will include Together Alliance for Children’s Rights, Education Scotland and The Children’s Parliament.
