Roads & Environment 2021/22 Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme Quarterly Update

Details:
- The purpose of the technical note is to provide Members with an update on the previous quarters Roads & Environment 2021/22 Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme.
- As a result of restrictions placed on the service in relation to single person vehicle occupancy and social distancing the Roads Network Team were initially delayed in commencing the resurfacing programme for 2021/22.
- Through the introduction of vehicle screens and the amendment of safe working practices the Roads Network Team were able to return to carriageway resurfacing operations on 7th June 2021.
- Since June 2021, the team were able to complete resurfacing below listed carriageways:

- Unfortunately, the following works previously programmed were unable to be completed due to Covid restrictions affecting resources on the scheduled dates. The service is committed to rescheduling the programme to delivering these projects within the financial year and projects will be reprogrammed as resources become available over the course of the upcoming year.

- Unfortunately, Footway resurfacing action is still on hold due to difficulties with Covid restrictions. The footway projects will be reprogrammed as resources become available over the course of the upcoming year.
