Details: 
  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Members with an update in relation to the recently announced Scottish Government funding to support businesses in the hospitality sector affected by the latest public health advice. The fund is being administered by local authorities and is expected to go live on Monday 10th January.
     
  2. The December/January Business Support Top Up fund will provide support to businesses in the hospitality sector who have lost crucial bookings and custom during this key trading period where they are registered as one of the following:
  • Public houses
  • Restaurants
  • Cafes
  • Other licensed premises classed as hospitality
  • Nightclubs
  • Hotels with bars and restaurants.
  1. Eligible businesses already known to the Council through the Strategic Framework Business Fund will be contacted and asked to fill in an online declaration form 
     
  2. There is a separate process for new applications via the find Find business support website
     
  3. The December/January Business Support Top Up - Hospitality fund will close on 31 January 2022 (although authorised payments may still be made beyond that date).
