1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to the Local Review Body (LRB) site visits scheduled for 10am on 15th December 2021.
2. Members will be aware of the growing concerns over the increasing transmission of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Further, in recent days, guidance from both the UK and Scottish Governments is to work from home wherever possible and to minimise contact.
3. Whilst at the time of writing this Technical Note formal restrictions on the numbers of peopling gathering have not been reintroduced, a decision has been taken to postpone the scheduled site visits until the new year. This is in order to protect the health and safety of both officers and members.
4. A meeting cancellation notice will be issued later today and officers in Legal & Democratic will advise the applicants of the postponement.
5. An alternative date will be scheduled for the site visits in early 2022, once it is safer to proceed.
6. Members should note that the meeting of the LRB scheduled for 2pm on 15th December will proceed to deal with the other business included on the circulated Agenda.
