St Cyprian's 150th Anniversary

Anne Walker, Rt Rev Kevin Pearson & Provost Renwich at St Cyprian'sProvost Gillian Renwick attended the Easter Sunday Service at St Cyprian's Church in Lenzie, led by the Rt Rev Kevin Pearson, Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway. She then joined the congregation, including Deputy Lord Lieutenant Ann Walker, as they celebrated their church’s 150th anniversary.

The beautiful Category B Listed church was built in 1873 by Alexander Ross of Inverness and has become a well-recognised sight for local people and a place of worship for many generations of families.

Provost Renwick said, “I’d like to thank everyone at St Cyprian’s Church for the warm welcome and for including me in their special celebration. It was wonderful to find out all about the work of the church and to learn some of its rich history. It was a privilege to present the Church with a commemorative quaich on behalf of the people of East Dunbartonshire to mark this important milestone. Congratulations on 150 years and here’s to many more.”
