Christmas tree recycling

Once the festive fun is over, don't fir-get to recycle your real Christmas tree to ensure that it doesn’t contribute to rubbish going to landfill.
From Wednesday 3 January 2024 you can dispose of your tree in a skip at these locations:

  • William Patrick Library car park, Kirkintilloch
  • Mavis Valley Recycling Centre, Bishopbriggs
  • Milngavie Community Education Centre, Milngavie

If you're unable to take your tree to a recycling point, you can call our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 4510. We can arrange for your Christmas tree to be picked up or your garden waste bin emptied, free of charge, between 15 January and 21 January 2024.
