Bearsden is situated approximately six miles north of Glasgow city centre on the A809 road to Drymen and Loch Lomond. The traditional town centre, known locally as ‘The Cross’, is an area with a high standard of amenities along with its heritage of Victorian and Edwardian stone-built houses. The motto on the Bearsden town crest is ‘Bear the Gree’ which means to take first place.
‘Bearsden Cross’ is a small, traditional shopping centre which is vibrant and bustling. There is a good range of shops, restaurants & cafes and services. Most of the businesses tend to be local and independent and are committed to providing a high level of customer care and individuality.
Bearsden is close to and easily accessible from Glasgow by car bus or rail. There are three main free car parks located close to the centre, there are bus stops on Drymen Road and Bearsden Rail Station is only a short walk away.
