Extracts of birth, death, marriage and civil partnership certificates are available from registration office in Scotland. There are certain details you will need to provide before a copy can be issued.
Information you should provide
- Birth - Full name (at time of registration), date and place of birth
- Death - Full name, date of death and place of death
- Marriage / Civil Partnerships - full names of bride and groom or civil partners, date of marriage or partnership, place of marriage or partnership.
Extracts can be obtained from any of our registration offices at a cost of £15, which includes a £5 statutory search fee. If you purchase an extract within 1 month from the date of registration the statutory fee of £10 applies.
