At its meeting on Tuesday (13 June) East Dunbartonshire Council considered an update report on the Kirkintilloch Town Centre Masterplan.
Following debate, it was agreed that a technical report on the option for the reinstatement of lights at the Catherine Street junction in Kirkintilloch be brought back to Council in September, or as soon thereafter as possible, to inform future consultation on the junction.
Council Leader Gordan Low confirmed, “As we discussed a range of considerations on the Town Centre in Kirkintilloch, it was agreed that officers should produce a technical report, with the options and related costs associated with reinstating the lights at the junction between Catherine Street and Kerr Street.
“Council will then consider this report before determining the next steps for this junction in the Kirkintilloch town centre.”
