Returning Officer Gerry Cornes - Chief Executive of East Dunbartonshire Council - said, "I would like to thank everyone who contributed to tonight’s count.
"With a shorter time than normal to prepare and coming quickly on the back of the Council elections, there was a great deal to be done over just a few short weeks. So, my sincere thanks go to everyone who has worked hard, in whatever capacity, in the run up to this election and across the area today in polling stations.”
