Deferred Entry to Primary School - Application Form

I understand that the Council will withdraw an offer of a place if it was obtained through a fraudulent or intentionally misleading application.
I understand that my child’s early learning and childcare place can be withdrawn even if he/she has started at the centre if the place was obtained through a fraudulent or intentionally misleading application.
I understand that I must promptly advise the Council of any change of address details after the submission of my child’s application either by emailing the relevant early years centre or earlyyears@eastdunbarton.gov.uk.
I understand that places are allocated in accordance with the East Dunbartonshire Council Admission Policy and there is no guarantee that I will receive the session or centre requested.
I understand that parents and carers have the legal right to defer their child’s entry to primary school if their child’s fifth birthday falls on or between the first day of the school term in August and the last day of the following February. From August 2023, a change in Scottish Government legislation means that all children are automatically entitled to 1140 hours of funded early learning and childcare for their child’s deferred entry year
