Details:
- Craighead EYC was closed today due to flooding in the early hours of this morning. The leak has caused severe damage to the flooring and contractors are currently in the process of lifting and replacing this. It is envisaged that the work will be completed by tomorrow evening.
- Contingency plans have been arranged for the centre to open in the Community Hall within the school grounds from tomorrow morning. Children will have access to the hall and facilities and resources for children will be decanted this evening. Appropriate cleaning and catering have been arranged.
- Care Inspectorate have been informed of the changes to provision, and as a contingency, it has been agreed that the centre will operate from the Community Hall over the next two days, if required, to ensure the building is fully safe to open.
- The Head Teacher will make contact with parents to inform them of the change of location and will continue to inform them of progress when ready to return to their original setting.
