Form Information

This fund will provide a one-off grant of £2,000 to Self-Catering Businesses who meet the Scottish Government eligibility criteria.

The fund is targeted at those premises which have seven or more bed spaces, as determined by Rates Assessor records, as they have been particularly impacted by the restrictions which initially limited usage of self-catering to no more than six people from two households and then to a single household.

To access this grant award, applicants must have a self-catering premises that was recorded by the Rates Assessor as accommodating seven or more guests (noting that sofa beds and cots are not counted in this calculation) on 1 January 2021 and must have been trading on 2 November 2020.

If you are in receipt of Universal Credit or some other Department for Work and Pensions benefits, you may still apply for this funding. Please note: receipt of this grant may affect your benefit entitlement and you should check with your benefit provider prior to applying. Officers processing the grant will not be able to advise if this will impact upon your benefit levels or payments.

Further information and/or evidence may be requested by the Council where necessary. Acceptability of evidence will be at the discretion of the Council. If suitable and sufficient evidence is not provided, your application may be rejected.

If your application is successful, payment will be made within a maximum 20 working days period from the date the Council receives a fully complete application and all required supporting information, and where all the eligibility criteria have been met.
