Employee News 2020, Issue 64 - COVID-19: Latest Update

You will be aware from the news announcements yesterday that further measures are being applied across the UK to control the increasing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The restrictions currently in place in areas of the West of Scotland, including East Dunbartonshire, have now been extended across the whole of Scotland. They mean that you should not meet anyone not from your household, inside your own home, and that you should only meet up to six people from a maximum of two households outside or in a hospitality setting.

A further measure being brought in across the UK, including Scotland, is that the hospitality sector must now close at 10pm. Full details of the measures can be found on the Scottish Government website.  They will be reviewed again in three weeks.

The Joint Council Leaders have responded to the new measures being implemented to control the spread of Covid-19, in a statement urging everyone to act responsibly and follow the rules to prevent more serious restrictions from being required.

Please ensure that you are aware of and follow the restrictions in place to manage coronavirus (Covid-19) as we all have a responsibility to help to control the spread.

Thank you
