The lucky winner is Angela Cobburn of Bearsden who has won a pair of Turkish Airlines tickets from Edinburgh Airport to anywhere on the airline’s network of over 300 worldwide destinations.

Angela was thrilled and said, “I was surprised and delighted to find out that I had won this great prize and also that so much money had been raised for two very important charities."

The Turkish Airlines tickets were being raffled to raise funds for both Alzheimer Scotland and Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. Over the last few weeks the Provost and Depute Provost have been out and about across East Dunbartonshire and have sold 324 tickets raising £1,620.00 for the charities.

Provost Brown said, “I’d like to thank everyone who bought a ticket, you have helped to raise much needed funds for two very worthwhile causes. I’d also like to thank Turkish Airlines for donating such a fantastic prize and Garry Spence for coming along to draw the winners today.”

Two runners-up were also drawn from the raffle - Adam O’Donnell and ZengSong Gho.  They have both won Turkish Airlines souvenirs and a bottle of whisky.

Provost Brown continued, “Many congratulations to the winners – especially Angela who has won an amazing prize. I hope she has a brilliant holiday!”
