Never mind The Beatles, two East Dunbartonshire leisure centres are celebrating a fab four of their very own.

Both the Allander in Bearsden and The Leisuredrome in Bishopbriggs have retained four-star ratings from VisitScotland.

Quality assurance grading visits were carried out recently, with both leisure centres notching up a sensational 79 per cent.

It's a feather in the cap for the facilities, which help ensure thousands of people per week can enjoy a range of sports and leisure services in their communities.

Both the Allander and The Leisuredrome are operated by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust on behalf of the Council.

Trust Chair Sandy Marshall said, "I am delighted that both the Allander and The Leisuredrome have retained four-star ratings from VisitScotland.

"It's a reflection of the hard work put in by our talented teams, as well as recognition of the quality programmes, services and facilities on offer.

"I hope we continue to go from strength to strength - offering leisure and sporting opportunities to people of all ages and abilities for many years to come."

All three of EDLC's leisure centres - the Allander, Kirkintilloch and The Leisuredrome - offer fully-supervised gyms with the latest equipment, no contract, dedicated trainers, functional training zones and results tracking.
