After careful consideration, the decision has been taken to close all East Dunbartonshire Council schools and local authority nurseries tomorrow (Wednesday 28 February).
Ensuring the safety of our children and staff is of paramount importance and - following advice from Police Scotland, Scottish Government and weather experts - we feel it is the right decision given the worsening weather conditions.
The latest forecasts suggest potentially heavy snowfall during the night and tomorrow afternoon - raising concerns over travel to and from school.
An amber weather warning remains in place and we will be monitoring the roads and gritting from 4am.
